Acquisitions and Portfolio Pricing Strategy Manager - Wells Fargo (Charlotte, NC) in Charlotte, North Carolina For Sale

This Consumer Credit Card Solutions product management manager will be responsible aligning all Pricing, Acquisitions and Portfolio Management strategies across all credit card products. Primary role is to ensure all impacts to the Mass Affluent credit card P&L are clearly understood with a keen focus on assisting the SVP Credit Card Product Solutions on achieving stated financial targets. The successful candidate will ensure all stated objectives of the Mass Affluent credit card P&L is achieved, through partnership with Finance, Customer Marketing and Risk. Candidate must a clear understanding of Credit Card financials and strategies to drive growth. This manager will be responsible for strategic inputs to Acquisitions and Portfolio Marketing across all Mass Affluent credit card products. Specific focus will be on ensuring pricing strategies are appropriate for the varied Mass Affluent credit card products including any new product development. Specifically this leader will: - Serve as the Mass Affluent credit card product champion and primary point of contact for all pricing and segment specific decision, which includes strategy development and ownership of the P&L. - Align closely with the Product Capabilities team on Card Act related initiatives that impact the portfolio. - Work closely with the Finance, Acquisitions and Portfolio Marketing teams to develop strategies for new accounts and existing book of business. - Clear understanding of the consumer market place and the needs of the customer segment. - Developing a customer centric approach to product design is critical. - Serve as focal point on pricing policies for each card portfolio and ensure alignment where appropriate as well as ensure consistency measurement techniques across all mass affluent portfolios. - Serve as the "thought leader" (both internally and externally) surrounding the trends, issues and opportunities associated with the credit card products and pricing strategies. - Stimulate appropriate conversation and focus with Finance, Credit, Sales, Underwriting, etc to evolve the product and maximize the opportunity. - She/he will need to partner with a wide-range of people inside and outside of WF including: CCS Marketing, Consumer Lending group, Operational and Credit Risk team, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Community Banking, Home Mortgage, Visa, FDR, etc. - Uphold the company culture and values and support the development of a collaborative, entrepreneurial team. The successful candidate will also work closely with other Managers across Consumer Credit Solutions and the Enterprise in the execution of customer-centric product strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and develop partnerships with many business and functional areas. Location is flexible.
Basic Qualifications: 7+ years product development and management experience and 6+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Leadership and credibility will be determining factors in selection. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess leadership capability; they will have strong inter-personal skills. Specifically, we seek: - An individual with at least 7 years of P&L and pricing management responsibility in the Consumer Lending industry. Experience with a national consumer credit card company is highly preferred. - Lead all reporting on program results and ensure price testing strategies are tracked and learning shared across the business units. - Proven experience in working across major business lines to establish growth strategies for credit card acquisitions with a specific focus on pricing strategies. - Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas, provide insight into the competitive marketplace and related market developments. Identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the product. - Proven market and product development coupled with solid strategic thinking. - Analytic capabilities utilized to identify root cause issues/improvement opportunities, and designing approaches/programs/ products to address customer issues. - Demonstrated customer service orientation, both with external customers as well as internal company clients. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies which capture opportunities to serve multiple customer/client segments in multiple markets. - Demonstrated aptitude to quickly comprehend key financial leverage points to develop opportunities to expand product lines and increase market penetration. - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. - Superior facilitation and presentation skills. - Four year bachelors degree, MBA preferred.
