Title: IT Business Analyst Intern Real Estate Location: NC-Charlotte Other Locations: General Summary: The Business Analyst IT Intern for the Real Estate Line of Business will carry out tasks in support of corporate initiatives by gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements, researching and recommending best practices, and delivering end products that meet business objectives on time and on budget. Key activities are on-going production support, issue resolution, enhancements to current systems, system testing and analysis. A Business Analyst Intern will be required to understand, utilize and embrace the Family Dollar System Development Life Cycle. This individual must work well in a team environment. Real Estate application systems knowledge is a plus, including work flow management, Real Estate site acquisition, lease administration and other related processes. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Analyze and understand business processes and procedures to make recommendations in improving design process. * Meet client needs by responding and delivering assigned work that meets quality and delivery standards. * Coordinate within IT and other functional groups to effectively market and implement IT solutions. * Work with client group and technical support team in translating client needs and ensuring appropriate understanding. * Document processes and how to use" technology for archival and training purposes. * Serve as a resource coordinator (across functional teams) to ensure project deliverable timelines are met. * Issue/Problem Resolution. * Time Management/Multi-Tasking. * Excellent Written/Verbal Skills (documentation/presentation, flowcharts). Minimum Requirements: * Intern must be an undergraduate or graduate student at an institution of higher learning (i.e. college, university or technical institute). * Action Oriented: Enjoys working hard.
