Job Description:
APC is seeking a Space Planner for a position in Charlotte, NC.
The Contract Space Planner will work at the direction of Workplace Solutions / Design Services. The Contract Space Planner will be responsible for miscellaneous furniture requests, furniture related ergonomic workstation evaluation, day-to-day planning, design, furnishing and oversight of furniture installations and interior finishes associated with existing, newly constructed and renovated areas. The Space Planner will communicate and encourage client’s Space & Furniture Guidelines that provide uniformity and efficient use of the client’s assets.
Outline of Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day planning and coordination with the Charlotte Workplace Solutions / Design Services Team including the procurement of furnishings and accessories from identified suppliers
* Furniture related ergonomic workstation evaluations.
* Updating electronic drawings to reflect as-built conditions of both systems furniture and general architectural wall configurations.
* Reviewing and modifying existing drawings to conform with the Workplace Solutions DDFS (Document Development and File Systems Process).
Job Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Interior Design.
* 5 years experience in Space Planning and Project Management.
* 5 years Auto CAD experience.
* 5 years experience developing drawings and specifications.
* Reasonable knowledge of building codes as it applies to interior space planning & furniture layouts for commercial applications.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience working in a team environment providing strong support of the team.
* Experience working with MS products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
