The Senior Project Manager position will be responsible for the planning, design and construction of mission critical facilities for a major corporation. The mission critical facilities are primarily located in the domestic US.
Position requires in-depth knowledge of the design and operation of electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, large parallel engine/generator sets, electrical / mechanical calculations, fire and life safety systems and building control systems. Also, working knowledge of the operations of all mission critical building systems with a complete understanding of how each system can and will affect a different system. Manage capital and expense budgets for building construction projects and programs. Candidate needs to have the ability to manage in a high visibility environment and resolve complex technical problems quickly.
The senior project manager will also work with a multidiscipline team providing technical and strategic input into the planning, engineering, and construction of a new 470,000 square foot greenfield data center. This position will provide input to consulting engineers, architects and contractors to ensure delivery of the construction project is in compliance with the company standards.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• 10 or more years of experience and expertise with large multi-module UPS systems, high and medium voltage systems and, multiple engine/generator and paralleling switchgear
• 10 or more years of planning, engineering and construction in mission critical facilities
• Expert in NEC code interpretations and, communication/negotiations with code officials
• Basic knowledge of network management.
• Interpret the technical aspects of federal, state and local codes
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM/Revit
• Experience commissioning mission critical facilities
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to effectively manage relationships with cross-functional partners
• Ability to drive projects toward completion
• Ability to manage through complex problems and operational outages
• Demonstrated ability to function in a high stress, executive pressure environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate across functional groups
• Supervisory experience
• Budget Management experience
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard office computer applications
• Ability to identify Client needs, develop plans, create budgets, and supervise and coordinate the design and construction by required deadlines within budget
Desired Qualifications:
• Registered Professional Engineer
• 5 or more years of experience in a Supervisory role in Design and Construction or Facilities Management
